Delta Plus Granite Wind Safety Helmet Overview:
The Delta Plus GRANITE WIND Safety Helmet is a top protective headgear designed for workers in various industries such as construction, manufacturing, and engineering. It provides superior protection against falling objects, electric shock, and impacts.
This safety helmet is made of high density polyethylene (HDPE) material, which makes it lightweight, durable, and comfortable to wear for extended periods. The GRANITE WIND is also equipped with a six-point suspension system that ensures a secure and snug fit, reducing the risk of the helmet slipping or falling off during work.
The helmet's design incorporates a visor that provides optimal protection against UV rays and debris, making it suitable for outdoor work in bright and windy conditions.
The Delta Plus GRANITE WIND Safety Helmet is also designed to keep workers cool and comfortable in hot weather, thanks to its ventilation system that allows for efficient air circulation. The helmet is also fitted with a sweatband that absorbs moisture, keeping sweat away from the wearer's eyes and face.

EN397
EN397 is the European Standard that specifies physical and performance requirements (including testing) for industrial safety helmets.
Testing procedure:
- Shock Absorption Test – A 5kg rounded striker is dropped on the crown of the helmet from 1m. The force transmitted to the head form cannot exceed 5KN.
- Resistance to Penetration Test – 3kg pointed striker dropped on the crown region, striker not allowed to contact the head form.
- Resistance to Flame Test – when exposed to a flame for 10 seconds and then removed, the shell must not set alight or self-extinguish within 5 seconds.
The relevant European standard can be found on the safety helmet, usually underneath the peak of the helmet so in this case look out for a EN397 standard for confirmation of performance.
